There are many hiking trails to choose from around the apartment hotel Panorama Living Dolomites. We are happy to offer an overview of the most beautiful tours, especially collected for you.

Leave your traces in the fresh snow...

Altfass valley in Meransen/Maranza

For the whole family

You start on foot from Panorama Living Dolomites through Kösslergasse via Großbergstraße and reach the end of the asphalted road after approx. 15 minutes on foot. There the groomed winter hiking trail begins: It leads through the forest to the mountain restaurant Großberghütte. The hut is also open in the winter months. After a stop at the hut you follow the groomed Altfasstal circular walking tour which leads right over a bridge and from there again back to the parking lot Altfasstal and further to your holiday home Panorama Living Dolomites.

Total walking time: 2 hours

Bacherhütte in Meransen/Maranza

Meeting point for hikers & skiers

This hike starts from your apartment hotel via Kösslergasse and Großbergstraße. Below the hotel Tratterhof a path leads right into the forest. Continue straight on until you reach a fork in the forest; there, follow the signs to the Bacherhütte. After about 2 hours you will arrive at the Bacherhütte, where skiers also stop. For the way back we recommend the same way.

Total walking time: 4 hours

Fane Alm

The enchanting Alpine village in Vals/Valles

By car you drive the short distance up to Vals/Valles (approx. 15 minutes by car), where you park your car at the rear parking lot shortly before the hut Kurzkofelhütte. There you follow the winter hiking trail to the Fane Alm. The hike is easy and after only about 1.5 hours you will reach the Fane Alm, a historic and snow-covered mountain village with many rustic Alpine huts to stop off in.

Total walking time: 3 hours

Descent into the Altfasstal valley

Mastering the altitude difference with the mountain railway

For this hike you walk to the mountain railway Gitschberg, where you buy a day ticket for hikers. Then take the cable car to the middle station, where you take the Gaisjochbahn in the direction of Vals/Valles. Get off at the Tanne (the mountain station of the Gaisjochbahn) and take the winter hiking trail that leads you to the Altfasstal valley. There you have the opportunity to stop at the Großberghütte. For the way back you hike through the Altfasstal back to Meransen/Maranza and your luxury holiday home Panorama Living Dolomites.

Our tip: To make the most of the day ticket for hikers, take the cable car to the mountain station of the Gitschberg, where the hut Nesselhütte is just a few steps away. There you can sit in the sun and enjoy the fabulous panorama.

Total walking time: 2 hours

To the Stoanamandl in the Jochtal valley

Wonderful mountain panorama

For this easy winter hike, buy a day ticket for hikers at the Gitschberg valley station and take the Gitschberg mountain railway to the middle station and then the connecting railways Gaisjoch and Schilling to Vals/Valles. Once there, take the Begbahn Jochtal and ascend to an altitude of 2,000 metres. From there path 1a leads you to the Ochsenalm and the flat summit crest of the "Stoanamandl" (2,118 m). There, at the summit cross, you can enjoy a wonderful 360° panoramic view. For the way back you hike on the same path.

Total walking time: 2 hours

The alps Rodeneck/Rodengo & Lüsen/Luson

The sun-drenched high plateau

The sun-drenched and panoramic alps Rodeneck/Rodengo & Lüsen/Luson is only a 25-minute drive from the Panorama Living Dolomites. Driving from Meransen/Maranza to Mühlbach/Rio di Pusteria and further on to Rodeneck/Rodengo on the Rodenecker Alm (very well signposted), you park at the Zumis parking lot for hikers. The hike starts without any significant differences in altitude, first through forest and then over snow-covered Alpine pastures to a small Jöchl (pass) and to the nearby mountain hut Ronerhütte. From there you continue your hike on the wide winter hiking trail to the mountain restaurants Rastnerhütte and Starkenfeldhütte. The trail continues to the Kreuzwiesenalm, which lies above the village of Lüsen/Luson. It takes about 2.5 hours to get there. Return to your car on the same path.

Total walking time: 5 hours
